Forsterite
can be made to be excellent refractory materials, which can stand very high temperature,
and their thermal stability is better than the oridnary magnesite brick. In chemical
industry, it can be melted with phosphate ore or appetite to be Ca-Mg-P fertilizer, and it
also can be used as a raw material to extract magnesia chemical compound and Epsom salt.
In the metallurgical industry, it is a raw materials for smelting metal magnesium and be
flux. Calcined forsterite can be used as tapping of molten steel. It's also material for
unshaped refractory. |
